a better
community

Our Work
We believe that small contributions can have a great impact on certain communities deprived of even the most basic necessities for their well-being.
We envision a society where every person, in spite of the limitations of poverty, has equal opportunities to promote her well-being and achieve her aspirations. We are especially inclined to preserve the childhood of children and empowering women belonging to these communities.
Our Focus Areas
Education4All
We work to enable learning opportunities for children (6 to 14 years) by tackling challenges and breaks to their education, posed by poverty due to migration to urban spaces.
Early Childcare
We assist in the healthy growth of children (2 to 6 years) by focusing on their health, social and cognitive development amidst their families’ adverse economic and social status.
Skill Development
We aim to complement learning with unique skill development for girls, adolescents, young women and men, whose education has been hampered by socio-economic barriers.
Empowering Women
We work to enhance the capabilities of women in marginalised communities through vocational trainings, workshops and sustained counselling, as well as family meetings.
Health & Hygiene
We spread awareness, especially amongst women in the communities, about the benefits of healthy upbringing for children and ways to enable good health of their families.
Resources
We have an exciting team of volunteer content writers and student researchers who help us in looking at our work in creative and informative ways. Do check out their documentation of the children, women and families who we work with under our initiative, Kahaaniyan, as well as Aashray’s Blog and research publications.
